Jodi Imms masterfully transforms the surfaces of dried gourds, of all shapes and sizes, into works of art, blending beauty with functionality. Her creative process involves a rich array of techniques, including intricate carving, precise wood burning, delicate applique, and coloring with ink dyes to the gourd surfaces.

Drawing inspiration from nature, she uses colorful minerals like turquoise, petrified wood, and agates applied to the gourd’s body. Unique materials like antlers and pine needles are also applied to the gourd’s rim. The result is a stunning collection of unique gourd art pieces that evoke a sense of connection to nature.
